An evening of good food, good drinks, and good company at La Cour de Husson
As the sun hangs low over the fields, the garden starts to glow, and the old walnut tree casts its dappled shade across a table set for dinner. This is The Seasonal Table, an evening of delicious plant-based food, local wines, and relaxed company at La Cour de Husson.
We’ve often been asked by people living locally whether they can come and eat with us. Until now, because we are a private table d’hôtes, we haven’t been able to invite you for dinner without you staying with us for an extended holiday.
So we thought we’d change that.
For one night, we’re opening up a small number of places for local people to come together around our table, enjoy the food we love to cook, and stay the night at La Cour de Husson.
What’s included
- Welcome cocktail & canapés
- A delicious drink to start the evening, made using local ingredients, with a selection of small bites to enjoy in the gardens as the sun starts to set.
- 3-course plant-based dinner
- A seasonal menu built around local produce and whatever is looking particularly enticing at the time.
- Drinks
- Fantastic local wines and other drinks are all included throughout the evening.
- 1 night stay at La Cour de Husson
- Stay in one of our beautiful gîtes at La Cour de Husson.
- Use of the swimming pool and facilities
- Relax around the pool, snooze in one of the hammocks and swinging chairs, or challenge someone to a game of ping pong. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the grounds.
- Brunch
- Wake up to a relaxed brunch of freshly baked sweet treats, plentiful savoury dishes, and fruits galore the following morning.
The afternoon
Check in any time after 2 pm, and then you are welcome to enjoy the pool and relax until we serve welcome cocktails and canapés (apéros) at 7 pm in the gardens.
Apéro
At 7 pm, we’ll gather in the gardens for the first drink of the evening. You’ll be welcomed with a cocktail made using local ingredients, alongside a selection of homemade canapés to enjoy as you mingle and chat.
Take a drink, find a shady spot beneath the trees, and get to know the other guests before we sit down to dinner together.
The evening
Then comes a three-course plant-based dinner, created around the best seasonal produce the area has to offer.
Dinner will be served family-style around one big table, so you can chat to other local people, who you may not have met before – a lovely chance to make new friends!
Our cooking is generous, colourful, and full of flavour. We’ll be working with local and seasonal ingredients wherever possible, letting the produce dictate what appears on the plate, rather than deciding the menu far in advance.
There’ll be wine, drinks, conversation, and a beautiful evening spent eating and drinking with good people.
The stay
After dinner, your room is waiting for you. No need to drive home. Stay the night at La Cour de Husson and wake up slowly the following morning.
You’ll be staying in rooms within two newly renovated self-contained gîtes.
The following morning
There’s no need to rush off in the morning. Wake up at your own pace, wander outside and enjoy the quiet of La Cour de Husson before the day properly begins. Then join us for a generous homemade brunch, served with plenty of freshly brewed coffee.
There’ll be warm homemade pastries, plentiful savoury dishes, creamy yoghurts, homemade granola, and fresh fruit. Pour another coffee. Have another pastry. Sit in the sunshine for a while. After an evening of good food and good company, it’ll be the perfect way to ease gently back into the real world.

Who will be joining us?
The Seasonal Table is for people who enjoy good food, good conversation, and meeting new people.
You’ll be sharing the table with a small group of like-minded guests who are curious, sociable, and have a healthy appetite for delicious food and a good evening.
Some may come as friends, some as couples, and some may arrive not knowing anyone else at the table. That’s part of the fun.
We’re hoping it will be the kind of evening where, by the end of it, nobody feels like a stranger.
