The first table of spring
By late April, everything at La Cour de Husson is beginning to wake up again. The evenings are getting longer, the garden is green, the shutters are open and we’re spending more and more time outside. At the markets, the heavier produce of winter is starting to disappear and spring ingredients are taking its place.
It’s one of our favourite moments of the year to cook.
On Saturday 24 April, we’ll bring ten guests together for our first Seasonal Table of 2027.
Arrive in the afternoon and settle in. If the weather is on our side, spend some time outside in the gardens before we gather for cocktails and canapés in the early evening.
Then we’ll sit down around one table for a completely new plant-based menu inspired by spring in Southwest France.
There’ll be local wines, plenty of food and nowhere you need to drive afterwards. Your room is waiting for you here at La Cour de Husson, followed by homemade brunch the next morning.
The evening
Arrive at La Cour de Husson
Check in from 2 pm and make yourself at home.
Drop your bags in your room and spend the afternoon however you like. Find a spot in the garden, pick up a book, play some ping pong, or simply enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.
Apéro
At 7 pm, we’ll gather for the first drinks of the evening.
We’ll welcome you with a seasonal cocktail and a selection of homemade canapés before dinner.
If the weather is kind, we’ll begin outside and make the most of the evening light.
Around the table
At 8 pm, we’ll sit down for dinner. The menu will be completely plant-based and created especially for this Seasonal Table, accompanied by a selection of local wines.
There are just ten guests and one table. Dinner is relaxed, generous, and designed to be enjoyed slowly, with plates passed around, glasses refilled, and plenty of conversation along the way.
You don’t need to be vegan to join us. You just need to enjoy good food.
Stay the night
Once dinner ends, your room is only a few steps away in one of our two renovated gîtes.
No driving home, no taxi, and no need to watch the clock.
Sunday brunch
The next morning, we’ll get the coffee on and make brunch.
Expect a mixture of homemade sweet and savoury dishes, fresh fruit, pastries, and whatever else we feel like making that morning. Think warm freshly baked pastries fresh out of the oven, homemade granola, fresh fruit, and warming mushrooms on toast or spiced masala beans.
Take your time, have another coffee, and enjoy a slow Sunday before heading home.

The April menu
Coming closer to the date.
We don’t decide the menu for The Seasonal Table months in advance. April is one of those months when the markets seem to change almost week by week, and we’d rather wait to see what’s actually looking good before deciding what we’re going to cook.
We’re hoping for the bright, fresh ingredients that make spring cooking so exciting – perhaps asparagus, young peas, radishes, fresh herbs, and the first strawberries, but the final menu will depend entirely on what the season gives us.
Everything will be plant-based and made by us here at La Cour de Husson. We’ll publish the complete menu closer to the evening.
Just ten places
The Seasonal Table is deliberately small. There are five bedrooms across our two gîtes, so they are always limited to a maximum of ten guests.
Some people come with friends, some as couples and some may not know anyone else around the table before they arrive. That’s part of what we love about it. A super intimate gathering of people on one table brought together by their love of food.

You’ll stay in one of five bedrooms across our two renovated gîtes at La Cour de Husson. All the rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully stocked with tea and coffee if you fancy an early morning pick me up.

The Seasonal Table is our intimate plant-based dining experience here at La Cour de Husson, held on a handful of dates throughout spring, early summer, and autumn.
Every table has a completely different menu, created around the season in which it takes place.

How do I get there?
Our address is: La Cour de Husson, 5 Route de Husson, 16140 Charmé, France
Travel to and from the event is not included, and is the responsibility of the guest.
If you are travelling from further afield, you can fly into the following airports:
Poitiers – 50 minute drive
Limoges – 1 hour 20 minute drive
La Rochelle – 1 hour 45 minute drive
Bordeaux – 2 hours drive
If you are travelling by train, our local station is Luxé and large main station is Angoulême (there are direct trains to Paris & Bordeaux from here).
Cancellations & transfers
Due to the nature of The Seasonal Table, all bookings are final and non-refundable.
If you’re no longer able to join us, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to someone else. Just let us know their name and details at least 24 hours before the event, or ask them to give us your name when they arrive.
Any arrangements regarding payment between the original booker and the person taking their place are the responsibility of the original purchaser.
In the unlikely event that we need to postpone an evening due to circumstances beyond our control, your booking will automatically be transferred to the new date.
Is everything vegan?
Yes. Everything we serve during The Seasonal Table is plant-based and vegan, including dinner, canapés, brunch, and drinks.
Do I need to be vegan?
Absolutely not! The Seasonal Table isn’t designed exclusively for vegans. Our focus is simply on making really good food from vegetables and seasonal produce.
Whether you eat plant-based food every day or almost never is completely irrelevant. Everyone is welcome around the table.
Why don't you publish the menu when bookings open?
Because we want to see what the season gives us first.
The final menu will be created closer to 31 October, when we can see what’s looking best at our local markets and what we’re most excited about cooking.
We’ll update this page with the full menu before the event.
Can you accommodate allergies?
We’ll always do our best.
Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book so we can take them into account when creating the menu.
As The Seasonal Table is based around one shared seasonal menu, very restrictive or complex dietary requirements can sometimes be difficult to accommodate. If you’re unsure, please contact us before booking.
Are drinks included?
Yes. Your welcome cocktail plus a selection of wines and other drinks during dinner are included in the price.
How are the rooms allocated?
Rooms are available on a two-person sharing basis, so each booking is for two guests sharing a room. If you’re coming on your own, please get in touch, and we’ll be happy to discuss the options with you.
Can I book dinner without staying overnight?
No. The Seasonal Table is offered as a dining-and-stay experience, so your room at La Cour de Husson forms part of the booking.
The upside is that everyone can enjoy the evening (and the wine) without having to worry about driving home afterwards.
Can I come on my own?
Our rooms and pricing are primarily based on two people sharing.
If you’d like to come alone, please get in touch before booking and we’ll let you know what options are available.
Who will be joining us?
The Seasonal Table is for people who enjoy good food, good conversation, and meeting new people.
You’ll be sharing the table with a small group of like-minded guests who are curious, sociable, and have a healthy appetite for delicious food and a good evening.
Some may come as friends, some as couples, and some may arrive not knowing anyone else at the table. That’s part of the fun.
It’s the kind of evening where, by the end of it, nobody feels like a stranger.
